ALEF’s mission is to create highly knowledgeable, intellectual, and well-read Arab communities throughout the world. We are very proud to have opened our first international store in Baker Street, London in October 2015. Selling a selection of English Books, Arabic Books, Children’s Books, Gifts, Cards and Stationery.
OUR AIMS
To provide you with a wide selection of English and Arabic books. With help from our cooperative and knowledgeable staff, who are always ready to answer all your questions and enquiries.
Shopping with ALEF Bookstores allows you to partake in a variety of cultural events, book signings with your favourite writers, Book Clubs, Children’s Storytime sessions in English and Arabic and much more.
HISTORY
We are an Egyptian chain who opened our first store in Heliopolis, Cairo in 2009 and now have 33 Stores in different cities throughout Egypt (Cairo, Giza, Alexandria, Assuit, Ismailiah , Suez, Tanta and Mansoura). We have launched many key initiatives in Egypt to encourage people to read, including our Knowledge Taxi and Egypt Reads campaigns. We are proud to have now branched out internationally with our store in Baker Street, London.
